This is the website of the Zenometric Monads Foundation.
Zenometric Monads are works of art that were created by the artist, Zeno of Amsterdam during the period 1975 -2000.
In general, these are disks that have been cut from stone and placed upon their sides; on the front and rear side the artist has made inscriptions that are, in principle, complementary to one another. One can consider these works as self-standing abstract art, but in the opinion of the artist they refer to the universal quest of those seeking themselves. He considered the works as acting as guiding lights for those seeking their own cosmos and identified them with the term "Monads".
Zenometric Monads are not for sale.
It was the intention of the artist that, after his death, the pieces of art would be given away to corresponding organisations - worldwide. After his death in 2011, the Zenometric Monads Foundation was established on 9 January 2013 to realise this objective. On this website you will find an overview of the pieces of art that have already been given away. In principle, the art is free to be viewed by visitors (in some cases it may be necessary to make an appointment in advance).
